My Drive Units

If you have cherished KEF speakers and you wish to replace items which are faulty, or if you wish to build speakers using KEF drive units and you cannot obtain the items you want, let me know and I may be able to help. I may know of individuals who have spare units or I may know of a contact who can provide the required item(s). I wish to enable the 'recycling' and continued existence of KEF systems from that period. In the Forum anyone can also advertise items for sale or exchange.

Drive Units and ABRs (dimensions approx) - INCOMPLETE

B139 6171 (330 X 240) Manufactured late 60s or early 70s. Usually bare metal chassis. Image shown is of a 6171 with painted chassis. Rubber surround. Polystyrene cone. Several sets

B139 SP1044 (300 X 210) Narrower chassis than 6171. Chassis painted black. Rubber surround. Polystyrene cone. Several sets

BD139B SP1042 ABR Polystyrene cone. Several sets

BD139 (330 X 240) SP1037 Manufactured late 60s or early 70s. Usually bare metal chassis. Originally foam surrounds. Later models replaced by rubber surrounds - probably all examples with foam surrounds will have disintegrated and if repaired will have been replaced with rubber surrounds. Polystyrene cone.
