I purchased a rather sad looking pair of KEF Celeste III for a bargain price during the summer of 2003 and embarked on a quick clean-up process to make them appear more 'respectable'. The Celeste IIIs had obviously been stored in a rather dirty corner of someones loft for years and before that the covers had been plucked all over by some feline member of that household. They were in a sorry looking state.

The picture gallery shows how I removed the acoustically transparent cover, removed and visually checked the drive units and wiring, and replaced all units. The covers were washed, replaced and then 'shaved' (a safety razor was used to remove the 'plucks'). The end product is not a showroom quality pair of speakers but they are definitely usable without embarrassment in a home.
