What a terrible name, though living in Surf City, USA, I should probably be more forgiving. It's an isolation platform made by the Auralex Co. It provides very effective vibration isolation of a spe ...

PostForum: KEF speakers   Posted: Sun Sep 11, 2005 8:11 pm   Subject: Supporting a Kef 105.2.
I did post a more detailed account of what I have learned in the thread "Modifying my Kef 105.2 speaker" in the Forum "1970 Kef Speakers." The date was around Sept. 2. My experiments are about over- I ...

After owning a pair of 105.2s for over 20 years, I thought surely there must be some modern speakers I would like better, ones with a tighter, more resolving bass, but the same overall character. I w ...

I'm afraid I was referring to wines I have made myself. They are made from some very fine Santa Cruz Mountain and Napa Valley grapes, and I beleive they are very fine examples of what can be done in ...

What do you think would happen if I dumped them? I'm not particularly worried about my amp doing something bad.

Should I be in your area some time, I would be happy to give you a bottle of my Cabe ...

Having now studied the schematic a bit, I have a few questions that perhaps someone could answer. I notice at the input there are two capacitors C1 and C3 in parallel. What are they for? It appear ...

Colin:

These circuit diagrams are very helpful. Interestly, I had already decided if I were going to put in an attentuation resistor, I would put it right where it is in the Cantata. However. I ...

First, being new to this Forum, I'm not sure where exactly to find what Colin refered to when he said the following: "The Ref 105-2 circuit board and schematic are in the "crossovers" part of the tech ...

For what it is worth, I have a pair of 105.2s that I bought new about 25 years ago. My only complaint with them over the years was just what you are saying: the lower midrange and bass sounded sort ...
