Hi Peter, are you sure it's a ceramic capacitor and not a polyswitch to protect the tweeter? Does it look anything like this:

Wouldn't the pre-out then be switched to the assigned analogue CD audio input, creating a closed loop with the KUBE with potential for feedback if the gain is too high? I've never had a Denon AVR tho ...

Maybe Martin, but my experience is that if the bass sounds nice and tight the mids and highs sound clearer. They don't sound louder but you can hear them better. Idon't know how to describe it properl ...

Thanks again for the encouragement, suggestions and advice the refoam is complete and Im pleased I did it.
