Yes, the cap will tame the T27.
However, 0,6u is not the value, you should use 0.33uf.
0.33uf interacts with the L, C, values here to give the desired effect.

Sometimes KEF adds a 220ohms in ser ...

Hi there,

1. the first simulation you did which showed a miss-match between the B110/T27 - was this done with the ETI crossover with 6uF/0.4mH/5ohm/12ohm?

Yes, that was done using the circuit di ...

Hello Mulane

I looked at the circuit you provided and compared with the Atkinson design. There are some discrepancies. In the original design, there are a total of 4 tweeters : 2 Celestions , 1 Kef ...

Hi there

R73 and R66 are the sensitivity compensation network to bring the 22TAF down from 93dB to 88dB (as the original tweeter).

There are two types of attenuation: series resistance and vol ...

Another very interesting thread Nimo_jon. What progress have you made with the Seas in the 104aB?

Very interested in the circuit you come up with as I also use T27s in my transmission lines and if ...

The Mundorf sounds more fluid (after breaking in) than the Carli Mylars.
I would say the Carli sounds in between the Mundorf and the Alcap.

As for T27a replacement, I found something better, read ...

Hello Mulane,

How you doing? Thanks for reading. Yes the comparison was done with the modified 104. The 104 has moved on to a 104aB.

So now I have TWO pairs of KEF 104aB. Only one pair follows ...

The KEF Carlton III (1983) speakers are now more than three decades old. After the long years, the T33 tweeters may suffer from performance degradation due to the thickening of the ferrofluid in the v ...

The Mundorff 2.7mH really amazed me after a simple, short run in.

First of all, the mid range has a lot more details, with even more involving sweetness. I could hear my familiar record ...

Hello

There is a very quick and dirty way of burning in the components. Use a 9V transformer and connect the caps to the output via crocodile clips. Use a 3.3R in series to prevent over current. T ...

I have tried out the 600uf in the KEF104 as well as the KEF104aB.

I suppose the SP1039 with its large magnet has sufficient bass response for most listening. The 600uf did not appear to ...

Too right that deriving the correct model's a real pain.

When working on vintage speakers like the 104, there are always a few things I observe. That is, not to alter the KEF's design too much. (A ...

The driver impedance RE, LE, ...
