My understanding is that the foam surrounds on the 105/3's - whilst a faff -are there for a reason and to change them for butlyl might well lead to a bass response that is ...

Surely the main costs were time in researching the optimum design ? There is perhaps some increased complexity in component count for the crossovers, but computers solve the former and the real costs ...

Interesting observation on the poll....

Nobody has voted for reflex loading, yet this is used on the Blade, 205/2's and in fact ALL the current reference speakers ! (including the LS50's) Shocked ...
