Hi, after 1 day I still notice differences between a speaker and the other.

I measured the old and new capacitors that have not put in yet another speaker.

10 uf old 10.8 uf to result in the 2 and second measuring 10.8 uf ..................new 12 uf
7 old to result 8.7 uf uf, 7.6 uf and second measurement .......................new 6,9 uf
Old 5 uf to 5.8 uf result and second measuring 5.2 uf ................................new 5,4 uf
Old 3.3 uf to 3.8 uf result and second measuring 4.3 uf .......................new 3,3 uf...........
Old 0.6 uf to 0.5 uf result and second measuring 0.6 uf ...................new 0,6 uf

It seems that this is not quite olds correct? new ?

Thanks

I had bigger deviations in the measurements of the capacitors of my crossovers. IIRC, one 3.3uF capacitor measured about 6uF and that was driving the tweeter making it sound more than dull.

I suggest you replace the capacitors of both crossovers and listen to them.

Thanks for answering SaSi , I just changed from 1 speaker to see if I noticed any difference between them ................ for now I have not noticed any difference.

The old capacitors have the quite acceptable measurements, believed that some would be broken but not been well so I have doubts whether to let him return home.

I'll wait 2 or 3 days to see if I notice any difference before putting new capacitors to another speaker or to reassemble the old to which I have recently changed.

Hi friends, in the end I decided to change the capacitors by Falcon Acoustics kit, and I bought and I got to Barcelona this coming week.

There is one thing I do not understand, if you choose to loose capacitors on the website is cheaper than buying the kit as possible? or can I this wrong.

Thanks

If what you are saying is that buying the individual capacitors is cheaper than the complete kit, then a few things affect price:

1. You are getting a complete kit with the proper components in the quantities you want them. Some internet shops have extremely low prices but a minimum quantity of (say) 10 when you may only need two pieces of that value. Also don't forget to add the shipping costs, especially if you are sourcing the components from various suppliers.

2. Getting everything together for you is a service and has a price. For a crossover it's not a tidal task and should take (say) 10 minutes if you have stocks of the required pieces. But it still commands a price.

3. The price of a capacitor depends on the quality and materials. Not that low cost electrolytic capacitors are garbage, but (say again) polypropylene capacitors are much more expensive. So make sure you compare apples with apples.

4. Whoever sells you a kit needs to buy the components, invest some money and make a nominal profit.

Hi SaSi, problems of translation and you understand me not.

I refer to the website of FalconAcoustics, selling the same loose capacitors.

I was just curious.

Hello, how high should put the Calinda, I have the feeling that the height is very low source, there are small stands under and seems to lack some gum or supplement.

That think?, How high do you recommend?.

Thanks

You forgot post 5 - Calindas do not need a stand, they are balanced for floor standing on castors with the correct "lobe" of mid frequencies at crossover slightly pointing upwards to suit the height of ears when seated 1-3 meters away. On stands you will not only lose bass but also lose midrange detail. Very low stands can be used in very small rooms where the bass is too overpowering in the first instance, otherwise use spikes or similar to just get the cabinet off the floor.

Yes, I understand, but my property Calindas not have wheels, are directly on the ground, that's why I ask the question, how much height I upload without affecting its operation.

2 " ? 4" ?

Thanks
