Hi, I have a faulty MB200 driver from a KEF UniQ-60 speaker. The treble has gone and I have a traced the problem to a blown tweeter. I have ordered up the part from KEF (SP 1353X) and I am ready to swop it in. Here is my silly question. How do I remove the concentric tweeter safely? I tried rotating the metal dome above it but it won't budge. I am afraid to lever it off in case I damage the whole driver. What is the best way to get the tweeter out and drop in the replacement? Thanks in advance. By the way. Thanks to the group for help replacing the capacitors in the crossover (SP 1280). This was my first attempted solution and sourcing the parts was difficult. I finally replaced the old caps with new Alcaps from Falcon Components. Regards --Gunslinger

KEF should supply you with an A4 sheet of instructions.

As Uni-Q tweeters are held in position by a set screw / bolt in their rears Shocked , look behind young man Smile .

OR

Put Uni-Q speaker into "Google Images" right click on an "exploded view" image, open in a new window, before it loads click on view image full-size Very Happy .

Never seen that video before, but why remove the magnet with the risk of damaging the woofer voice coil edge? Shocked Once the plastic 3 legged gizmo is off and the wires unsoldered, you can push the tweeter out using the hole in the magnet pole!
