Try it if you have the resources and the time.
I did something similar a few decades ago, but the bass driver was one of the B200 family, in a reflex enclosure and the cone mass loaded in order to bring down the fs AND efficiency!!! The cabinets were lead and thick bitumen pad lined as well as braced and weighed a lot! The knuckle test just produced a dull thud.
