As the topic says i wanna know witch activated carbon is the right one for bass damping of a loudspeaker. There are many brands and also different types of this material. I have already asked Norit, a big company who makes this stuff. I hope that their manager will call me back. Rolling Eyes

Granules, of irregular shape and porous surface. The ones looking like "rice" or small pellets are not good.

Thx Sasi, i have found a dutch site where there is 1 kind of carbon that is also used for loudspeakers, it is the NORIT GCN 3070.
"A coconut shell based granular activated carbon typically used in applications such as cigarette filters, cabin air filters and acoustic enhancement of loudspeakers".

Now find where i can buy this kind of carbon. Norit is a dutch company.

I just called Norit/Cabot en they gave me a phone number of a company that delivers this particulair kind of carbon. Problem is that it are bags of 500 kilograms, but i need only 1 or 2 kilograms.
Wel that company will send me a sample of this stuff for free! Hope everything goes well.

And I thought that the locally available packing of 25kg was too much.
