Hi,

Has anyone got any information on the crossover for a 200c Reference series centre speaker? A circuit diagram would be great or even if someone knows the L4 Choke Inductance value?

The speaker type is SP3234. I have come to a grinding halt with Kef trying to find out any thing.

Thanks

Can anyone give me some pointers where to get some info about this L4 choke?

The authorised kef dealer in Auckland, NZ has been unable to supply the part for the repairer, so any help would be appreciated

Many thanks

Hi.
Why do you ask? Is L4 faulty or damaged? Is the rest of the XO undamaged? Can you post a picture? Can you beg, buy or borrow a cheap LCR meter?

The crossover is in the hands of a repairer in Auckland, he has checked the crossover and concluded the L4 choke is faulty.

I have been waiting for several weeks to have this repaired as kef have not been responding to him. So I thought someone on this forum might know the value of this L4 choke?

Thanks

The inductor should be quite easy to rewind. Just measure the wire gauge and count the number of turns as the damaged wire is removed. I doubt you can buy a replacement. Iron dust KEF cores of that era were not common. I'm assuming there has not been a major burning.

It might come down to a DIY repair in the end.

Thanks
