Hey folks- I guessing I'm not alone here but after a pair of good 1039's to replace mine in my TLS50's!

I was also wondering if the 1022's are a suitable replacement as have seen a pair of those?

Any advice etc welcomed TIA.

v. similar units size and Q-wise as the Cadenza and Model 104 are similar alignments in similar size boxes. However the 1039 has a lower distortion short coil in a long magnetic gap motor whereas the 1022 is a regular long coil in a short gap.

Corrected to read Cadenza instead of Calinda today. The Calindas used a SP1054 which was the same as a 1022 but with a vacuum formed Velbex surround instead of the rubber one.

Thanks speakerguru. I guess I am best holding out for the 1039's then. I did get a beaten pair of calindas just to use the supposedly good drivers but will continue the search!

I thought the 103/4's had 1039's? I've been keeping an eye for a pair of those too.

Model 103 used SP1039 woofers. Model 103|4 used a B160 6.5" midrange.

Didn't realise there was a 103/4! I meant 103 & 104's!
