Hi all,
I have a pair of MARSDEN HALL INT
MODEL XL20 speakers and know nothing about them. I think they sound and look good, but might sell them to fund a self build speaker like the Eros.
Or any ideas where i could get more info
Cheers
Ian

I’ve no information about the (£61 in April 1976) XL20’s, but the Ten Speaker review from Practical Hi-fi and Audio, October 1975 has the Marsden Hall annexe (£117 in April 1976) XL30’s down as Turkeys.
The joint winners of the Ten Speaker review were the B&W DM4 and Monitor Audio MA5 Smile.

Speaking of Marsden Hall, someone was pimping a pair of 14” * 9” bass units (similar to MA3’s) for £9.99 “reserve not met” on ePay (bid >£50 chaps Shocked ), they did look a lot like EMI units not B&W or KEF as the vendor misdescribed them.
The other units were an Elac knock-off of a Peerless midrange and the tweeter was a fabric domed KK8 look-alike also by Elac.
So, prospective buyers be prepared to be treated like poultry Rolling Eyes .

Did anybody else spot the Chartwell PM400’s with a blown KK8 for “£50 buy now”?

Why am I posting at this strange hour? Well I’m off to London in a bit to collect a C.A.T. Signature III (also known as the Reference) pre-amplifier, a very serious piece of hi-fi kit.

On the circuitous route home I’ll be found snoozing somewhere at the Hi-fi and Record bash in Leatherheads’ Leisure Centre Very Happy .
