Normally the Cresta 3 is a recent speaker. Check this link: http://www.kef.com/history/1990_2/cresta_1999-02/cresta3.htm
I have these speakers and indeed: for the money, they sound great!

Aren't they the same?

Hi Wouter.

They look nothing like the link you just showed me. I have never got to find a picture on the internet AT ALL on them. They seem to be very rare. There more a bookshelf speaker. They seem to be made in the late 70's or early 80's. Anyway I hope anyone knows anything about them.

THANKS ALOT

If you host an image on another server then just supply the URL between Img tags. That is what I have done below. To get the img tags use the buttons supplied in the Message Body box.
The image in your post may be available to you because it is on your computer but it is not being published within your message for others to see in the Forum.

Hi everyone,

Maybe I can be of a little help here... I have two original Kef Cresta speakers, and indeed they're bookshelf type of speakers.

I tried to find some info of them as well, but according to the KEF website they should be original build in the late 60's.. the only one picture i found doesn't match the speakers I have, but it's here:

http://www.kef.com/history/1960/cresta.htm

I will add some pics of my Cresta's later today, on this site I could not find them either.. How strange isn't it?

oh well, if anyone can tell me one day how old they are I would be very grateful! Thanks!

Love,

Jasper.

Hello Jasper,

As far as I know, the original (first) Cresta existed in the version as mentioned on the link you gave.
But also a variant (more like the LS3/5) has existed. Maybe this is the variant you have?

If you have a picture, that could be interested!

Regards,
Wouter

Hello Wouter,

As of now I think you're right when it comes to the LS 3/5 A option.

I noticed this unofficial site, and somehow this speaker comes really close to those of me.

I took some pics, but cannot upload them here. I tried several times, but it did not work. I'll send them to the moderator (is that Allen?) and see if he can put them here..

Anyway, the measurements are: 323 mm high, 193,5 wide, and 219 deep.
I tried to take a picture of all important details that could be helpful, but again i cannot post them here. Perhaps I can send them to you as well?

Thanks again!

Love,

Jasper.
