I just couldn't pass the deal as it was too good, so I bought it. Especially that this early 1980s power amp scored a very high average of 4.89/5...

I will soon report on this 255wpc power amp after I dedust it and inspect it... BTW That monster weights close to 50lbs (23kg) _________________ Current line up

That's huge power, man!
Montreal had better not blackout Toronto when you plug that thing in....
Let us know how they sound with power hungry KEF speakers! _________________ Sometimes I lie awake at night, and I ask, "Where have I gone wrong?" Then a voice says to me, "This is going to take more than one night."

Was told the amp could almost be used for welding... One set of 105/2 will be powered by the modified Quad 405, one set by the Hafler. I will compare the differences in sound. BTW I don't really listen to music at high level. I don't think the 105/2 would appreciate.
Last week I had a Parasound 1200. Sound was not great. Quad is much better. Not to mention the Parasound was defective as either the power caps or the output relays were shot. _________________ Current line up

I heard a Parasound once. Australian, correct?
I was not too impressed either.... but I think it was working correctly. _________________ Sometimes I lie awake at night, and I ask, "Where have I gone wrong?" Then a voice says to me, "This is going to take more than one night."

Parasound is based in California and the 1200 model (and most subsequent ones) was deisgned by John Curl. _________________ Current line up

I must have been thinking of something else then! _________________ Sometimes I lie awake at night, and I ask, "Where have I gone wrong?" Then a voice says to me, "This is going to take more than one night."
