|
|
Hi,
I have a project to rebuild my crossovers from scratch as one has crashed.
But i don't find the value of the tapped inductor described on the schematic.
http://www.hifiloudspeakers.info/Anatomy/Crossovers/DN17SP1052Corelli/Gallery/pages/corelli.htm
Any info from the Kef engineers ?
Thanks,
Fabrice
ps : i have posted the same message in the diy but i guess this section here is more appropriate... |

I'm planning to rebuild mine, as well. But usually crossover rebuilds only replace capacitors; changing inductors means matching dcr as well as inductance. What do you hope to gain? |

Sorry - I misunderstood. I'll measure the values in mine when I take them out. |

Did you ever get to the bottom of this? I don't recall any tapped inductor in the Corelli. We were always encouraged to avoid them for production reasons. Obviously the Model 104 and 104aB used one for the "contour" control and I used one, for a limited time, in the midrange section of Model 105|4, as an auto-transformer. Other than that, I don't think so.
Has the circuit shown in the posted schematic been wrongly traced? Shouldn't the Corelli tweeter section have been an aB type as well? It was the same era as the 104aB. |

Thanks, Colin.
I obviously didn't have much to do with this model. |
