Same but different. Mine were CE 1704's but on a blue PCB with components that looked more "modern" - i.e. squared off caps etc..

Any clues ?

We were very early customers of Crimson, perhaps you had a later version.
Was the PCB layout any tidier?

Whoops.. I missed this. All I remember about the PCB (quite OK) was the sight of emitter resistors fried ! The house stunk for hours and the pool of smoke was waist high around the entire downstairs ! Nice sound though....
