I am looking for replacement fuses (tweeter's) for my KEF 104ab loudspeakers purchased new, in England, approx 1978/79.
Thanks.

5*20mm, 0.5 Amp quick blow from Maplin, RS, Farnell, Rat Shack, Parts Express, Home Depot, etc depending upon your domicile.

The originals are slow blow, which would translate as a medium blow these days.

I'd prefer to blow cheap fuses rather than a drive unit which is difficult to rewind, can no longer be redomed and is expensive to replace.

Spot on Colin!

I have from a pair of ABs from new. It might seem foolhardy, but I shorted out the fuse holder the first day I bought them and they are still going strong. Clipping amplifiers are sure guaranteed killers of tweeters. Mine being used with Krell KSA100 of a great vintage as well! Found that an amplifier with good control (High Damping Factor?) works miracles for the bass on the 104ABs

Andy.
