It has been surprise to me why Baileys idea to use triangular line and chamber behind drive unit, in his improved transmission line, has been ignored almost completly. The following idea is clear by product of Baileys idea... or maybe somebody has had this idea even before Bailey presented it.

Some kind of angled diffusor behind drive unit would be especially benefical in 2 way sepeakers. Diffusor can be angled brace between cab side panels and back panel, making cab mor rigid and spreading standing waves behind the drive unit.

Also triangular tube can be used to spread piperesonances in the vent tube.

Perhaps people have found that the audible benefits are minor and the cost and complexity of construction not so minor.

I can see some point in a large cabinet, but cannot see how you can get much bass reinforcement from a bookshelf model at 1/4 wavelength.
