I have the drivers, almost have the crossovers Very Happy but what about the actual wood boxes? There's a seller on eBay that has made a few.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pair-Speaker-Box-For-Rogers-LS3-5A-Rogers-LS-3-5A-maple-/160947341443?pt=Vintage_Electronics_R2&hash=item2579358883

Anyone have any experience with these? Other suggestions?

The price isn't high but I'd rather get them from Falcon Acoustics. They know what these boxes must be built like - in contrast to how these boxes should look like.

I have seen reports that these boxes are not to BBC spec but a cheap alternative. The BBC specified birch plywood of specific thickness and number of plys for a colouration reason. Even the battens were a specified softwood to dissipate energy from the enclosure. These will work, but not necessarily like an original LS3/5a.

Thanks for the replies.

The eBay idea seems to be a nice waste of money. I will look at the Falcon alternative.

If you want the correct LS3/5a cabinet, you can buy used ones fron Stirling Broadcast.
Not cheap, but they are 'the genuine article.'

I have two brand new, unused, cherry veneer Falcon Acoustics LS3/5a cabinets for sale.
I built the Falcon LS3/5a kit, so these cabinets are surplus to my requirements.
Thanks.
