Hello, nice to greet you, and me in this society.
Some time ago I have Kef Corelli and they are wonderful, encouraged by his good sound I set out to find a few 104ab or Calinda, I found a 104ab but they were very used and worn ........... and I thought Calinda would be better speakers.
Well and I have and I'm a little disappointed with the speakers have better sound quality Corelli is one thing I do not understand, apparently everything works fine, ok tweeter, woofer ok, ok passive radiator.
And how high must be the Calinda? or alone are ground?
Thanks for reading _________________ Barcelona ( Spain ) |

Calinda was balanced for floor standing, I think they had some castors on the bottom? Probably better replaced with some spikes or something solid nowadays. It was a very good speaker in its day, if something sounds wrong, and the drivers are ok, maybe crossover capacitors have drifted with age or similar problem? |

Thanks for the reply, the speakers can be heard quite well, but Corelli still sound better, that is my question because I thought I would have better sound quality the Calinda
I will review the crossover. _________________ Barcelona ( Spain ) |

Today I changed the height to try, also I have separated more and ahead and behind on their site to see if I got some improvement, something is not working well and that is not, well I changed my amp (it was connected with SA 9800) and now I have connected to a TA 700ES and it seems to sound better, but even so I am not happy as they sound.
Can you give me some more advice?.

My pair of Calindas had a faulty capacitor in the crossover that made high frequencies so attenuated, it sounded like the tweeter had a stuck voice coil. Actually all capacitors were off their nominal values so a replacement improved the sound dramatically.
The Calinda can be floor mounted although raising it by 15-20cm (but no more) may improve directivity depending on your seating height.
You can certainly improve the loudspeakers by internal damping but you don't have to do that to have a pleasing performance. |

It just seems that the T27 is a little high, when normally tweeter are up to their ears.
There are times when I have the feeling that the speakers sound better and sometimes worse, as if the sound fade and then return.

Hi, this is the material that I could get in Barcelona, there is some component that is not accurate, and the capacitors are polyester 0.6.
That think?

If there is a fault then it is very unlikely to be the same fault in both speakers. Try to listen and compare the individual parts of both sides to isolate the problem. |

Hi, I've been this afternoon with one of the crossover to change the electrolytic capacitors.
Everything works fine but no difference, so far heard no better one than the other, why they will wait a few days to a few hours electrolytic need to give performance to see if he noticed a difference not appreciated. _________________ Barcelona ( Spain ) |
