Cambridge Audio R50 was a transmission line speaker from the 1970's using B139, B110 and T27.

How to replicate one. Better have a friend who’s quite handy. My own design was very, very similar (17 years ago) and I really sweated. This version uses only 3 drivers, but it is more than enough. Who needs ultrasonic drivers at our age?

Here are some pretty clear blueprints

And for a bit more, with different drivers and some design changes.

The above post is worthy of Winkepedia.

B. J. Webb a retired schoolteacher (and perfect gentleman) designed the R50, which was bought a a complete design according to Stan Curtis, a former director of Cambridge Audio.

Burt's DIY version may be found in The Audio Amateur issue 1/75.

Chris Rogers version is a “copyright avoidance” design not a “proper job”!

Naughty Rogers. But he's not the only one who copies a design, seen lots of different versions of Baileys design too.

Very Happy

Don't forget Martin Colloms' Monitor Audio MA4 has the same box size, driver complement and crossover as the Stag Statesman Shocked.
