Ah, if and ONLY IF I like the big pair and they are better than my colection of Sennheisers then I shall buy them.
The smaller set will be for use when travelling on public transport and noisy environments, again they will have to be better than my present collection... there again they are "KEF" albeit made in China. Crying or Very sad

My dream headphones would be the Sennheiser Orpheus Electrostatics, I have not heard better yet!!!

Interesting. What are your favourites?

After a few large Sennheisers I really liked Beyer 531s for over the ear types, but rarely listen to them nowadays. For buds I really like my Shure E2Cs, but Sony EX500s run them a close second, without quite the same mid range richness in their slightly brighter way. For day to day Soundmagic E10s and good old Sennheiser CX300IIs are hard to beat for the money. A few other Sennheisers and Sonys still hang around (including the truly abysmal - even with recommended mods - Koss Plug!) but one of the most impressive is a 30 or 35 year old pair of Sony MDR282s which had a thin molecular layer of sapphire on the diaphragm! This must have made them ultra rigid with no audible breakup because they still sound superb today, very electrostatic like with surprising bass for a non-sealed type of earbud.
