I have Goodmans Achromat Beta, Kappa and Sigma models in my collection - does any members have experience of these - in particular problems with the 8inch drivers on the Kappa and Sigma - the pigtails seem to deteriorate over time - corrosion? no sound from the unit suddenly.
Also they feature Hitachi patent V pleat design for surround which gives great cone excursion and are made of some kind of see through plastic -why didn't KEF think of this -I wonder whether it would be possible to obtain some of these surrounds and fit them to B200's - would be an interesting experiment. |
