Just a little background - I have 2 sets of KEF speakers with the same active drivers - Carton IIIs and Caprice IIs. Power's provided by a Technics SU-V707 (90W AB) or a Tripath TK2050 (100W Class-T(D))

The Carlton IIIs were bought last year for the princely sum of 40, and required a full recap at 30

Recently one of the SP1075s in the Carltons (labelled as TS1075?) developed voice coil rub after a complete idiot (read:me) thought the loudness button would be a good idea for a full evening of ACDC

I had no success rotating the driver (made it worse) but following advice on this forum I used a hair drier to heat the spider whilst nudging the cone back into position.

So far it seems to be working - I'll report back if things worsen.

Thought this may be helpful for others in the same position
