Hi, I need some advice. - You guys have been very helpful in the past advising me on crossover re-caps etc.
Having replaced both T52s (SP 1049) in my Kef 105s about 2 years ago I am faced with the need to do so again. By now I would imagine that all the 2nd hand T52s in the world are probably dried-up / busted or close to it and even if I sourced a pair they wouldn't last too long. ( Am I wrong, - does anybody have a decent set? )
What would you recommend that I replace these units with? (Within a reasonable budget).

Regards - Denis

The crossover in the 105/II is a pretty straigt forward 3 order with a RC link and a very small serial coil. My guess is that many 1" drivers would do but a 1.2" like the Seas http://www.europe-audio.com/document.asp?document_id=1347&link=datasheets/seas/H883.pdf
Should work really well or the 1.2"
http://www.europe-audio.com/document.asp?document_id=2185&link=datasheets\dayton\DC28FS-8.pdf
or even the 1.5" at a steeper price

That's good information DrBoar, - Thank you, That SEAS Prestige looks right-on spec for the 105s . The Scan-Speak is to die for but I just dont have 350 for a pair of them right now.
and as for Mr Rx7Rotary, If it's OK to talk "off forum" - Shoot me an email (bawnfree@gmail.com) with an asking price for those T52s - Shipped to Dingle, Co. Kerry, Ireland.
Great - There is light at the end of the tunnel .
Thanks everyone -Denis,.
