Just as a note: KEF used to wind their own inductors and then they dipped in wax*...this was due to Raymond Cookes' belief that you never did something for just one reason...it was always better for any solution to a problem to actually give you multiple benefits.

In the case of wax, the first benefit was that it sealed the end of the inductors to stop the iron core's from coming out. Secondly, it helped to stop the inductor wires coming loose and thirdly, if a customer over-drove the speakers beyond their power limits, the wax would melt and we could advise the customer that his abuse of the speakers was why he was being charged for the repair.

*Not wax. It was a hot melt adhesive. SG
