Hi all

Thanks for all your help.
Its now sorted, it was just a dry solder joint in the positive i/p connection.
It just fell off as I was taking the board out. So a easy one to fix Smile

Re-soldered and put back together, everything works fine.

on a side note, are the B300s quite rare to get nowdays?
I have been given a pair from my brother in law who had them in the loft for a "Project" at some point, but has now decided not to bother.

I had a quick look on the internet and only found a pair in Canada! was wondering if I should keep them or sell, but I have no idea how much they go for? they come complete with the original Xovers and seem in good condition, I will test them before I do anything with them.

once again, thanks for your help.

Jon

Keep them as a spare set, like Sasi already mentioned, the rubbing problem often occurs on the older B300 woofers, and they are difficult to get. Best is to store them horizontally in a dark dry place.
I've done the same with a set of B110's, witch came cheap. I,ve made a H standard for them.

Thanks for the info. on the rubbing of the B300s, I have read on here that turning them every now and again is good at stopping the rubbing on the bottom, so that's what I will do with the ones fitted in the 105s

As for the others, I have decided to keep them and that looks a good idea willem-57, Hope you don't mind if I copy the idea.

When I have finished the rebuild, I will post some pictures.

Cheers all

Long term storing horizontally will result in sag. Vertical with occasional rotation is best.
