Hi there

For good reasons I have 2 sets of spares of KEF B139 and 2x2 Celestion HF1300 and a crossover made for KEF CS1A.

I would like to make a box of these spares for a teenager as it would cost me nothing more that plywood and damping material.
I have no idea how they will sound.

Can anyone please suggest specifications for the smallest possible box for the basses B139 either bass refles or normal closed. Thank you.

Page 3 @ http://www.tech-diy.com/Dipol-Subwoofer.pdf would make an interesting starting point. You do need a midrange unit though, as the Celestion HF1300 won't go down to 400Hz, (HF1300 - resonnance @ 1300Hz Smile ) and the B139 won't go up to your 3500Hz CS1A crossover point.

OK, thanks. Then I would prefer buying a new unit, either small bas or combined mid-top range whatever is cheapest (but still KEF-quality)

Can you recommend a unit? Any B110 to get?

SEAS and Eaton produce ~4" midrange units with a 88-89dB sensitivity.

With Audax "bailing out" of the home constructor sector, I've no idea about a larger bass mid.

What's available locally?

B110A would be nice but a tad over priced due to ePay.
