Dear all,

Just registered to this forum so why not post a topic.
I am living in the Netherlands and absolutely crazy about IMF, TDL and Kef.
My toys?
Marantz SR14MKI
Marantz SA12S1
Marantz DV17

IMF SACM (modified)
IMF TLS80MKII
Dynaudio Audience C122

My latest project was the modification of the SACm twins.
* Build new cabinets 50mm thick panels (original shapes)
* Re- centered Bass and Midbase drivers
* Brought back from 4-way to 3-way
* Build new filters (removed tlit and slope cirquits to keep it clean)
* Systems measured and tested in the "dead room" of Speakerland Oss)
* Filters adjusted till optimum was reached
* Result?.........Better than original

I am verry interested in drivers like;
Bass driver 300 x 210 mm (11 3/4" x 8 1/4") Used in SACM and TDL Reference and B139.
Mid Bass B110-B.
Also complete speakers are welcome (IMF. TDL, Kef).

Cheers and have fun Very Happy ,

Cor.

Agree with you. The SACM was an amazing speaker and it still is.
Although it gained controll due to the new filters, the low part is pretty much unchanged, same character en typical TL "color".

The mid and high part is realy changed. More detail, better powerhandling. I replaced the original tweeters by a Scanspeak Neodymium tweeter.

It required several measure sessions and filter adjustments, but the result is verry good.

Regards,
Cor.
