Would several 8 of 1/8 plywood laminated together to form a semi cylinder enclosure be better than 3/4 mdf for a large woofer benclosure ?

Tricky, mass is fine as long as you do not get energy storage...
It can work badly against you...

If you hit it does it ring like the plywood shell of a snare drum?

Or do you get a dull thud?
