Hi all. I am new here but possess KEF Coda IIIs (in beautiful condition), KEF Caprice IIs, and have a pair of original Chorales on the way.

The 3-sided B200 on one of my Caprice IIs is very noisy - a scratching sound accompanies music and is repeated if I lightly touch the surface of the cone - worse near the outer areas.

I suspect its the voice coil but am open to correction...

My question is:
Is there anything I can do to try and fix this drive unit?
and
If not, does anybody know where I might be able to source a replacement drive unit?

Many thanks for any help you can give to a newbie in this forum!

Cheers
Matt

Your B200G's spider has sagged with age allowing the voice coil to touch the former.

Rotating the unit by 120 degrees now and again in six months time may equalise-out the sag.

Look out for them on German ePay and US ePay, where they pop-up from time to time.
