Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone has had experience with, or knows how to finish a pair of speakers cabs in a Grittex pro finish, the black crackly finish used by Rel , and Acoustic Energy AE1 , and other pro studio monitors ?

Is it a paint you buy, or is some other type of proccess involved ?

Textured powder paint application requires some specialised kit, so you'll have to seek out a smallish firm that deals with Powder Coating.

Is it a powder coat finish ?

I have used powder coating firms for other items, and they dont usualy do bonded materials, (and I am talking of items which take more stress than a speaker cabinet) I was assuming the glue would be damaged or weakened by the heat process ?

Really hoping to find a DIY option, its for a pair of Kef 105.4 bass cabinets and heads.
