I was up in Memphis, TN today and found a pair of 203's in pristine condition, great cabinets, good surrounds, etc., the badges were even in good shape. I haven't had a chance to listen to them yet, but I will this week. The asking price is $99, but it looks like they've been there a while. The original price on the tag was $149, then $129, and now $99. My question is, what do these speakers generally go for? And, assuming they sound good, are they worth it? There's a speaker repair shop in Memphis that has a pair of Acoustic Research AR-3a's for more than double that, and I know what they sound like. How do they compare? I keep reading about upgrading the crossovers to the 103.2's. How much of an improvement in sound is it? Any help is appreciated.

If you like their sound and all the drivers work £53 is a fair price.

You won't "make a turn" if you then try to flog them on ePrey though.

AR3's are a very nice speaker but because they are popular in North America, they're expen$ive. They need a lot of clean power or you may have permamant tweeter problems.

I don't know anything about the 203's.

Persoanlly, I prefer the British sound.
