I was wondering if anyone knew the best power amp and preamp to use to
drive my rogers JR149's.
They have the b110 bass speakers an the t27 tweeters.
I am not rich. I have to stay around $1,000.00 but I still
want to have excellent sound and the most power they can handle.

Thanks! Question

Josie, you should check the ls3/5a yahoo group for hints as to the amp requirements.

There is a survey and plenty of input there.

I am not sure if the JR 149 have the same high impedence as the ls3/5as, but if they do you are looking at a min. of 25 to 60 watts.

Tube equipment is quite popular with the ls3/5a crowd and there are some ls3/5a owners on this web site that might be of help to you.
