Hi would like to know what limits the KEF 105.2 to 38hz ?
is it the box ? Crossover or the driver ?
From the specs the driver has an Free air resonance of 23 hz (+/- 5 hz)
What is needed to lower the frequency ? would a port tuned to that frequency help ? would a KEF Kube or similar bass boost device be usefull ? |

i would have thought the KEF 105.2 would already provide plenty of bass,
from that size cabinet and probably not a good idea to drill a hole to add a port.
perhaps add a good quality sub like Rel for the extra omph !
source and amplification will definately improve things. |

It is a sum, the whole sum of the parts and complete design.
If KEF could have made the design go lower surely they would have.
Why make a BOOM BOX out of an excellent loudspeaker, lower power handling, ruin transient response...?
If you want bass get a REL. |
