Hi Folks,

I've been using Kef Coda 8's in my system for about ten years now and find them excellent in every respect.

Recently, the addition of a second power amplifier has prompted thoughts of taking them active. To this end, i've been making a few enquiries about the crossover topology the Coda 8's use. An enquiry to Kef produced no response so I was wondering if anyone here had any useful info.

Any thougths would be appreciated.

Cheers

Adrian

After a little reading around on the web, it turns out the crossover frequency is at 3kHz.

Cheers

I have some Coda crossovers that I believe are for KEF CODA 9.2 floorstanders. These are type SP2287A, crossover freq 3KHz and I think they are for 4ohm drivers. I can send a scan of my hand-drawn schematic. Send me a PM with your email if required.

My offering is you can adapt this design for A T33 and B200G

http://users.otenet.gr/~athsam/2_way_active_loudspeaker_eng.htm

Make sure your browser's encoding is on auto or Greek.

Or spend ~£100 on an ALTO active crossover and play with some resistors to pad down your HF response.
