Hello

I wonder if anyone can help me out.

Rummaging around the site I found some old WW speaker design articles, and I was wondering if anyone has a collection of 1970-1980's WW hidden away somewhere..

The reason I ask was there were two loudspeaker design articles I read at college, but can't find anywhere and of course can't remember the name!! But they were both very distinctive in design.

The first was a compact transmission line I think using a 4" speaker about 2' tall..

The second was a speaker design like kryton's head from Red Dwarf..

I wonder if anyone recalls these articles or ring any bells!!

Thanks for your help in this..

You want to download the Daline and Daline + B110 from here

http://www.tech-diy.com/LS_Articles.htm

the kryton head probably didn't use KEF drivers, so it's not on the list of designs kindly given to me by an ex-employee.

Edited 10-06-2008

The three-way design was made commercially in the US for a couple of years, so lookout for Innotech D-22 speakers.

Updated crossover circuits and the Focal varient of the design are available from me, if you ask nicely Very Happy .

Hello all

Well it took sometime but I've found them ..

Wireless World June 1979 Bookshelf Loudspeaker MkII Jim Wilkinson

Right now I now need the drivers Kef B200 SP1014 and Audax HD13D34H
The modern version of the HD13D34H seems to be the Audax TW034X0
The crossover can be found at Falcon http://www.falcon-acoustics.co.uk/plp4.htm number 34

Would be grateful to hear any ideas where to find them, of course there is ebay.

Miles

p.s. Can seem to find a way to upload an offline image

You'll be hard pressed to find any NOS HD13D34Hs as the Rogers boys will have had them all, so unless you're going on holiday in France it's either something stripped by sleezeBay shite or something old but newer.

The Canadians (Solen, etc) have sold their TW034X0s but this bunch appear to have them http://www.audax-speaker.de/index.php?module=shop_articles&index[shop_articles][action]=overview&index[shop_articles][category]=3 OR https://www.madisound.com/store/product_info.php?products_id=1707 OR http://www.falconacoustics.co.uk/audax-tw034x0-replacement-for-hd13d34h.html

good hunting Very Happy .

Hello Colin

Sorry I'm confused ...

- Why do I need to holiday in France ? Can these be brought in France ?

- I guess from your comments the B200 will be strictly a reclaim, does anyone re-cone or rework these drives ?

There seems to be a newer version of the TW034X0 called the TW034XP any comment on this ?

Thanks very much for your help

Like most poor oppressed individuals paying too much tax to a feckless undemocratic state, you probably need one.

No, but you'll stand a better chance in a Parisian fleemarket or magasins d'électronique than either sleezeBay or old style electronics shop if you can find one, note in the West Midlands the only source of useful parts is in Derby! The rest having closed.

No, a refurb by a competent rebuilder will be ~£50-70 each plus shipping and VAT; you can get them for less on that shitty auction site.

It's more expensive Sad .
