Hi, anybody ever try MF amps with KEF.
I just bought a MF B200x integrated. It is the same case as the A1, but is an AB design, 50 or 60 wpc unit. Runs hot but not as hot as the A1 or A100.
Very smooth sound, nearly up to my Nait, but with much more power of course. It was a european model, so I am running it on a step up transformer at the present time.
Sounds great and it's a bargain compared to many vintage amps out there. I just saw a Cyrus I go for 175GBP which to me is unbelievable. That mission is nowhere near the MF in sound. I may get flamed on this statement, but it is only an opinion.
Anyway, if you get a chance to pick up an MF at a good price grab it. The A1 would only be suitable with the more efficient KEF products.
