How important is it to find 1% tollerance caps rated at 150 V for recapping a KEF 105.2 crossover? I can find plenty of 100 V caps, but the 150 or higher are very tough to come by at that tollerance. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Also, I'm willing to pay for a recap of these if anyone can recommend an honest, qualified tech. Thank you.

It's not.

I use LCR, Capacitance and ESR meters when playing with my "toys" so I'll quite happily buy 250V or 400V 5% metallised polypropylene components from Solen Canada http://www.solen.ca/pub/ and match all the bits.

As I don't used Paypal I cannot buy from Europe.

BTC/IBAN with charges shared will still cost £10 btw, so adding 15% VAT plus any duty on an order over £18 makes International buying a tad expensive.

Now to the point Very Happy.

Solen 250/400V 5% measure +1% to -3% and their Canadian manufactured 3% (limited values sold as 5% so you cannot specify) are +0.5% to -2%. 630V are +0% to -1%. I cannot afford 1500V.

The 300uF caps will be a pain to source in any event, but even without any "kit" you can get close to a 1% tollerance with careful shopping.

Note Customs Currency Rates for Import and Export are fixed and set every month, they DO NOT match day to day exchange rates.

e.g. For September £18 = $CDN 32.75, for October $CDN 27.71!
